Mike: “Our first night around Elbrus on our August 2018 trip. Acclimatization on the lake’s shore at an altitude of 3300m above sea level gave a pretty nice opportunity to catch some nice Perseids as the night sky remained absolutely clear the whole night long.”
Mount Elbrus is the highest mountain in Europe, and the tenth most prominent peak in the world. A dormant volcano, Elbrus is in the Caucasus Mountains in Southern Russia, near the border with Georgia.
